I suggest you take the blinders off so you'll have a chance of seeing the there is more, much more than "...the pluralist, multicultural vitality that makes this whole experiment worthwhile."
Pluralism is the bedrock of liberal democracy. So, at risk of being reductive, I’d say there isn’t “more” than that. Because that’s the foundation of the principles, ideas, and freedoms that make America great.
