I can only speak for myself. I disagree with Cheney on many elements of foreign policy & nearly all elements of domestic policy. I give her a lot of credit for bucking the Party line on this matter. I was never a Gabbard fan, either, though for rather different reasons, many of them having to do with the fact she's long had a rather tenuous grasp on reality.
The era of the Bushes and Cheneys and other globalists running the party is completely dead. Now, the war-mongering neocons formerly of the GOP have been given an exalted platform on the fringes of the Democrat Party. The masses who worship at the altar of big media, big pharma, the military industrial complex, and the growing intrusive surveillance state are no longer welcome in the GOP. Big tent over in the Dem Party, along with unisex restrooms and bland entertainment-free entertainment.
Lower taxes on everybody, reducing foreign entanglements (especially boots on the ground), working for peace in the ME by supporting Israel and isolating Iran, re-securing energy independence, re-establishing a secure southern border while supporting robust controlled legal immigration, shrinking the size and influence of the Federal government in the lives of its citizens, re-establishing limits and oversight on our intelligence agencies and their increasingly lawless surveillance state, securing the integrity of our elections, encouraging US-based multinational corporations to return manufacturing to the states, encouraging the domestic integrity of our supply chains on critical industries such as pharma, energy and heavy manufacturing... off the top of my head.
Your analysis is correct and you may even be right to take umbrage at the media's stance on this issue, but it's a shame you undermine your argument with your undisguised glee at the never-again-trumpers' failure. And it's a shame the Arc Digital editors didn't encourage you to edit out the trolling to leave a more serious article.
"take pride in their (self-appointed) role as the nation’s *guardians* of truth. It's fascinating, therefore, to see people who insist their duty is to tell the truth attempting to pass off the McMullin-Taylor cabal as a serious challenge...."
Very good.
Until this crowd starts to come clean, about their recent orgies of historic malpractice (e.g. on RussiaGate, Nick Sandmann, B. Sicknick), only slavish devotees to the Dem party line will pay heed to them, while Bernie Bros and Deplorables sneer at them.
Long Live Liz
I, too, was a great admirer of Liz's bravery.
Does this "was" apply to her recent conduct?
If so, did/ do you similarly admire Tulsi (e.g. for her defiance of the Party Line on e.g. Impeachment)?

Thanx for your thoughts, tho my query was aimed at Berny, about whether he
give her credit, for bucking the Party line on the Impeachment matter.
Do you see Tulsi as deserving similar credit?
And, can you please specify the respects in which she, but not Cheney, has long had "a rather tenuous grasp on reality"?

What is the post-Trump Republican Party actually for, then? The GOP had no official platform in 2020. What would you like it to be FOR?

LOL! "This article isn't written like I would have written it!" Yeah, have a go then.

Of course you would write something like this. I read the article, and looked to see its author..... A huge waste of my time.
